Oregon State Football 2021
Graphic Designer.
Overview
Social graphics are intended to inform fans about information regarding the game and build a social buzz throughout the week leading up to kickoff. Stats and individual/team accomplishments promote the team to future recruits and fans through social media.
Responsibilities
During the weeks leading up to Halloween, Luke was assigned to create spooky-themed game week graphics and accompanying wallpapers. The responsibility to develop wallpapers that matched the creative direction for the week was then carried out through the remainder of the season. Additionally, he would design one-off social media graphics assigned weekly.
Challenges
Many of these graphics were very complex yet demanded a very quick turnaround. All of these graphics were made in one workday which led to a lot of quick creative decisions.

Overview
Recruiting Graphics are intended to display interest in the potential and committed recruits while also building hype for the football program. These graphic templates, semi-custom, and custom graphics were sent to recruits individually to be shared by the players over social media.
Responsibilities
This season Luke was in charge of creating Good Luck graphics. He created two on-brand graphic templates a week with the ability to plug in the recruit's full name and the school they will be playing that week. Furthermore, Luke was assigned to create on-brand holiday graphics that would be sent to recruits and posted on social. Finally, Luke was tasked with developing many custom and semi-custom graphics for recruits throughout the season.
Challenges
Each graphic comes with its own set of challenges but there were a few things that Luke had to solve creatively for each. First, he had to ideate different phrases and verbiage that coincided with the creative direction, such as, "bring the heat" or "throwdown" instead of just "good luck". This was something he was adamant about as a way to spice up the graphics by giving more context to the overall piece. Then, a huge challenge was having to find a way to typographically fit the recruit's full name in the graphic template while also reading correctly and being aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, he was required to cover the player's face with a visor as needed, that sometimes can be difficult to get right, but Luke did his best with the amount of time given.
